Day 06. Favorite episode of Angel
Season One: “I Will Remember You”
I knew I’d get stuck here. I had lots of life-stuff to do the past few days and Angel is my least favorite of Joss’s shows. For any who know me (and how hardcore I ship Buffy and Spike) this is going to seem like a really weird choice for favorite episode from Season One. So I’ll straighten this out: Buffy and Angel tear me to shreds. And I like being torn to shreds. But it gets old. The characters change. They stop tearing me up. Now, why do I love this episode so much? Well. I just said, yeah? I seem to have this thing for episodes that are alternate takes, alternate universes, and alternate points of view. The backstory episodes, or the strange magical episodes where the whole world gets altered, or things that fundamentally change the story just for a moment—those are my favorite things. This episode is a Ship-Tease. And I just love it. It hurts in all the wrong places. Plus it has Doyle. And Buffy. It’s that point where we see we need to put the past behind us and move on. Episodes titled with song titles are never done so lightly. So I leave you with this:

I will remember you. Will you remember me?Don’t let your life pass you by.Weep not for the memory.

Of course Spike is one of the best charachters ever, but this episode will always tear my heart apart

“Close your eyes” Buffy the vampire slayer S02x22
Angel: What’s happening?Buffy: Shh. Don’t worry about it. I love you.Angel: I love you.Buffy: Close your eyes.
Note: This is one of the most tragic & emotional scenes. I remember when I saw it for the very first time… I cried for hours. Imagine you have to kill the love of your life to save the world.
The best love stories are tragedies!

How much crying there!
